Flower of the Day - Ginger lily
Today's flower is a Pink Ginger lily also known as Torch lily. As with most of the Torch Gingers, the unopened buds of the flowers are edible and often used in soups, curries and salads in South East Asia

Flower of the Day - Orange Crucifix Orchid
Today's flower is the orange crucifix orchid (Epidendrum ibaguense).
It is a terrestrial species of orchid with reed-like stems and many aerial roots.
It also comes in many other colours including lilac, deep pink & red.
