Flower of the Day - Gum blossom

White Gum Blossom photographed in Kalamunda, Western Australia. 
I think these are blossoms of the Tasmanian Blue Gum, Eucalyptus globulis.  Australian Geographic magazine have a neat guide to Australian Gum blossoms, beautifully illustrated by Bronwyn King.

The Colours of Summer - Flower of the Day - Red "Gum Blossom"

Summer red flowering  "gum blossoms"
Corymbia ficifolia. These trees, native to Western Australia used to be included in the Eucalyptus group, but have since been reclassified into the new Corymbia genus.
