Fragrant Flower - Gardenia

Gardenias are probably my ultimate favourite fragrant flower. Velvety smooth creamy petals and a divine perfume - flowers don't get much better than this! As an artist, I am much in awe of the beautifully designed form and symmetry of these flowers, and the way their petals unfurl, too. As always, there is so much beauty to be found in nature.

Gardenias have always been one of my favourite flowers with their silky white petals, glossy deep green leaves and intense perfume. Seeing the first gardenias in late November or early December reminds me that Christmas is approaching.
