Today's flower is a begonia from my garden.

These flowers brighten up the shady areas in the garden.

Flower of the Day - Pink Begonia

A soft pink Begonia - with a beautiful translucent surface.

Flower of the Day - Pale Pink Old Fashioned Begonias

This begonia is not so common nowadays, but I remember these growing in the garden when I was a child.

(and a very Happy Birthday to Margaret for today, too)

Flower of the Day - Pale pink Begonia

More pale pink Begonias - delicate, feminine and a wonderful translucent quality.

Next week on Flower of the day will be "Fragrant Flowers".

Flower of the Day - Pink and White Begonia

These pink and white begonias have unusual triangular  buds.  The flowers remind me of dragonflies. I couldn't decide which of these photos to use, so here are both! Like many begonias, the glossy green foliage is attractive too.

Flower of the Day - Red Begonia

An unusual shot of a Begonia showing the stamens unfurling

Flower of the Day - Red Begonia

A vibrant red begonia - the yellow stamens are about to unfurl

More beautiful Begonias!

Gorgeous soft pink begonia buds. I had so many photos of these beautiful plants that I had to do another week of them. Enjoy!
