Colourful Lantana

I don’t usually put Lantana on this blog. In Sydney Lantana can be an invasive weed and spread throughout bushland. But this colourful lantana, in a local garden caught my eye with it’s ombre colour scheme.

Red Triple Camellia

This triple camellia has an amazing structure.  It reminds me of a frilled skirt.

Tropical Passion Flower

Today's flower is a type of Passion flower I saw while walking on beautiful Whitsunday Island. I'm not sure what type of Passion Flower it is - apparently there are about 750 varieties!

Wild Iris

t
A lovely colour combo of mauve, white and yellow, this iris is also known as Fairy Iris or Butterfly grass.  This plant grow very easily in Sydney, and is regarded as a weed by some.

Red Azalea

I noticed the rich red colour of this azalea when I was out walking on the weekend. Azaleas and Rhododendrons are in the same plant family, Ericaceae.
